DESIGN 4 FUTURES is a fictional event focusing on critical and speculative design, whose visual identity is based on
Joseph Voros's futures cone. The event invites the audience to imagine and reflect on possible, probable, plausible, and especially preferable futures within the exemplary context of environmental, social, and ethical issues.
It’s about leading participants to explore the futures we desire and those we fear, deepening our understanding of design's influence on shaping “tomorrow's world”. Speculative design goes beyond predicting or solving problems; it reshapes our perspective on what 'is not yet,' serving as a powerful tool to unveil alternative futures. The visual identity reflects the immediate action required to shape the preferred futures, highlighted in red to emphasize the urgency of the event's focus.
